wellllll thanks for asking!
but a few of you did ask and gosh that was sure sweet! super sweet!
so here's the scoop....
january was a busy month full of projects and a big ol' check list of stuff i wanted to begin and actually finish.
january gently slid into february and the momentum kept going!
progress is good. progress is healthy.
so i've been organizing. cleaning. decluttering.
sewing. (some really fun summer clothes as i dream of warm days)
knitting. (slippers still and some little odds and ends. fun stuff. a few disasters. it happens.)
cooking. (healthy good stuff mostly. old favorites and some new stuff. a lot of beautiful free form sourdough bread. a lot of soup).
working out. (got a wiifit for christmas. it's been kicking my butttttttt. love/hate).
getting a lot more skype vid time with my sugar baby big girls back home. (i just love their faces and hearing their voices and their laughing. i love skype)
so i guess that's the short of it all. in general just taking care of business.
oh and trying to
learn to use my camera (not something i'm so comfortable with but trying harder)
here is some of the completely fascinating projects i've been working on (hahahah)
some kitchen declutter organizing make over areas where i spend a good part of my day...
top of list. kitchen tools and pantry drawers.
can you hardly stand how fun those knives are!

did you spot my microplane in all that organized chaos? i use this at least once a week. love.
annoying.
and then there was the boxes/bags/containers in various stages of fullness that have made me crazy for some time.
packaging takes up so much room and once open is a mess
(secretly... i have some ocd issues about opened flour, sugar, cereal boxes. bags. unsanitary contamination nightmare in the making. it makes my skin crawl. blaaaa)
oh and i have ocd issues with shapes of storage containers. only like square and rectangle containers. round takes up too much room and messes with the order of things.... holy crap i am warped.
mov'n on let's just say after repackaging we gained a full cupboard and drawer.
that's some precious storage real estate.
yeah!!!!
my favorite organizational face lift was on the deep bread making pantry drawer.
imagine me doing the bread dance as i sing..
la-la-la bread making things la-la-la all in one place la-la-la
madness!
okay that's it for now.
hope you are having a happy day!
xo

I love making bread, it's calming!! Love the knives, so sweet!! It's cold here, but no snow. I hope you keep warm and cozy while the snow is there!! x
ReplyDeleteI have wondered what you've been up to!! Looks like plenty!! All good things! I'm impressed. Hope you will check in soon again! blessings ~ Tanna
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors of your knives! Your organization rocks! It's so freeing having everything where it should be and purging with stuff you don't need or use! Nice to see you back...certainly missed!
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction was: wow...those knives are awesome! And, I'm very impressed with your organized drawers :) *jealous of your 'up and go' ;D*
ReplyDeleteAnd that bread....mmmm...looks sooo good!
Keep warm, my friend <3
Love those knives and that bread looks delicious. Lovely to have you back. Happy weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteHey long time no see! I'm truly envious of all of your organization! I'm a little OCD about opened packaging too and really should address that issue in my own kitchen. In Canada I have big jars for flour, oatmeal, sugar, etc but in this apartment I don't and it's driving me a bit batty. Your breads look so yummy!
ReplyDeletethose knives are awesome!! I so need to to do an organise, but just can't be bothered.
